Zandore “Zan”  Zetina (Ella)


Jacqueline Zandor Earl-Zetina began her dance training after being inspired by a Ballet company performance while attending a county fair.

 Ms. Zetina’s dance background and instructions includes legendary Al Gilbert, Bill and Jackie Landrum, Claude Thompson, Steven Peck, and Alvin Ailey.  She became one of the principle dancers with the Repertory Dance Theatre of Los Angeles in 1983 under the direction of Jon Johnson and Lady Vereen-Walquer.

The Repertory Dance Theatre of Los Angeles was appointed by the honorable Mayor Tom Bradley to represent America throughout Europe during the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 1984.  After the European tours, she was recruited to choreograph and stage videos and tours for leading recording artist in Japan. While working in Japan Ms Earl-Zetina was a main character on television show broadcast on Fuji T.V.  She also was instrumental in developing the first Dance Variety Show on Japanese television.

In 1997 when she returned to the states, she started study film making.  She discovered found her niche filming documentaries.  Then in 1998 she discovered Capoeira de Angola, an African Martial Art, and is now a senior instructor with Pastinha’s Garden of Capoeira Angola.  She is over the Women’s division and is Co-Director of the Seeds of Pastinha Youth Academy another department in RDTOLA’s Educational Programs.  Ms. Zetina has also created her own system for physical fitness for women of all ages.

Ms. Zetina, after earning  her B.S. in Business Management, is now the Executive Director and one of the Choreographers of The Repertory Dance Theatre of Los Angeles.
